Tesco say thank you NHS with a little help from BP Rolls

We were delighted to be approached recently by our client Tesco, to collaborate on this special project. Our brief was to come up with a design along the lines of “Thank you NHS”.

The concept we submitted included a picture drawn by 11 year old Lexi McCrory, the daughter of Emily the Head of Entertainment at our client CTV Outside Broadcasts. Lexi who very sadly lost her father to Covid-19 was the co-winner of a CTV Children’s art competition to create an NHS Rainbow design to be displayed on the Company’s fleet of OB vehicles. BP Rolls signs and graphics were tasked with producing 70 vehicle stickers at A4 size of Lexi’s artwork.

Gareth Price, Director of BP Rolls Signs and Graphics wanted to give Lexi’s and Emily’s story more exposure to highlight to reality of the Coronavirus pandemic:

“When asked by Tesco to come up with a design for the 6 trucks delivering to the NHS Nightingale Hospital, I immediately thought of Lexi’s drawing and asked CTV If we could have permission to use it. The family gave us the go ahead and we were very excited to include this in our proposal.”

The background behind the drawing touched the hearts of those involved at Tesco and they loved the idea of using it, sharing it with their Directors, Tesco press office and the CEO of Tesco, Dave Lewis.

The graphics have now been printed and applied, so you can expect to see Lexi’s drawing in all its glory, delivering to the Nightingale Hospital Tesco pop-up shops soon.
