BP Rolls to Inspire students at Test Valley Careers event

Date: 17th February 2020

Get Inspired Test Valley is an interactive day that inspires young people to consider areas of work they may never have thought of, and aims to help them to understand how they might get there.

The event, which takes place at the Army Flying Museum on Thursday 26th March 2020, is being run by Test Valley Borough Council in association with EBP (Education Business Partnership) South, and aims to get students to take part in a variety of activities to provide them with a real understanding of the broad and exciting career paths that the diverse businesses in and around the area have to offer.

Schools attending the event will be meeting the Gatsby Benchmarks 2, 4, 5 & 7 so the event promises to be nothing inspiring and educational.

Get Inspired Test Valley will inspire the students and their teachers about:

  • Local firms
  • Employment opportunities
  • Future career choices
  • Different career pathway
  • Learn about different careers

Working together to inspire the next generation.

Test Valley Borough Council recognise the importance of providing all young people with the opportunity to engage with business and gain a practical approach to learning about careers and career pathways which is why they run these events across Hampshire annually for free. Apprenticeships at BP Rolls

We recognise the need to train the next generation in order to avoid a future skills shortage in the motor trade and are embarking on an overhaul of our apprenticeship schemes. The first step being actively promoting the variety of roles we have within the BP Rolls Group, and connecting with the wider community in order to make these opportunities known. Events like this one are the ideal way of getting our message out there, and opening the eyes of school leavers and showing them the many routes to a successful career, and the many positive benefits of an apprenticeship.
