Chris Hocking
Group Managing Director
Prior to joining BP Rolls, Chris spent 22 years working in Finance where he primarily focused on Private Wealth Management. More latterly he headed up the Wealth Management business for Deutsche Bank in the U.K.
In his earlier career Chris served in the Royal Navy. His naval career started, age 16, as a Marine Engineering Artificer Apprentice. From here, Chris became a Commissioned Officer and attended the Britannia Royal Naval College. As a Naval Officer, Chris served onboard various warships as well as spending 2 years working with the late Queen and members of the Royal Family onboard the Royal Yacht Britannia.
A Cornishman at heart, he grew up in the traditional fishing village of Gorran Haven on the South Coast of Cornwall and has retained close links with the village throughout his life.
Married with two grown up sons and living in Winchester, Chris is a keen sportsman, who enjoys running, cycling, skiing and sailing. He’s also a fair weather golfer.
He’s passionate about developing talent at BP Rolls. He heads the BP Rolls Apprenticeship Programme and continually seeks opportunities to develop existing and new talent.
