Work gets underway at new BP Rolls Newport site

Today we took possession of our new site in Nash Mead, Newport. Literally a stones throw from our existing workshop, yes, it's just across the road! Work has commenced on renovations to the site, due to be completed in June 2021.
Since establishing our fleet division offering in-house and mobile vehicle servicing for light commercial vehicles, alongside our commercial body shop, we had planned to extend our existing site at Queensway Meadows Industrial Estate, however in order to future proof the sustainability of the business, we have instead acquired a second site, at Unit 1 Nash Mead.
The new 12,577 SQ. FT premises sits within 1.75 acres and will undergo extensive renovations over the next 6 months, with a view to opening in June 2021 as a specialist service centre and body shop for light commercial vehicles.
Newport Director, Paul Thomas is excited about the venture, but is under no illusion of the scale of the project:
” We’ve really got our work cut out here. The main premises requires a complete overhaul, while the surrounding land needs a lot of attention; trees and vegetation need removing and a lot to be done to make the most of the plot. There’s a long road ahead of us, but I know the team are more than capable of delivering. The demand for light commercial servicing in our region has increased exponentially, and we literally have customers champing at the bit to get their fleets on board with us, so we are harnessing that potential as the dirving force to get the job done! “
The new site will house a servicing workshop dedicated to Class 7 light commercial vehicles, a paint and bodyshop, and a graphics fitting bay, ready to accommodate fleets of all sizes from Newport, Avonmouth and Bristol.
