Delays expected on parts for Kia and Hyundai vehicles

Date: 4th March 2020

Due to the continued situation with factory closures in China and South Korea, BP Rolls Group are preparing for significant delay to supply of parts for Hyundai and Kia vehicles.

Hyundai suspended operations at its Ulsan complex on 7th February, citing a lack of parts with the coronavirus outbreak crippling China’s industrial output, with Kia also halting work at their factories in the region.

With this is mind, BP Rolls Group will be heeding advice from insurers over the next few weeks in order to manage customer expectations regarding the timescales for vehicle repairs.

From Monday 2nd March 2020 we will need to pre-estimate all claims prior to them arriving on site. This will enable us to ensure availability of parts before commencing repairs in order to avoid delay and disappointment.

Where vehicles are immobile, we will work with both customers and insurers to ensure that courtesy cars are available in accordance with the terms of the policyholders.

Where panel parts are not available, we will optimise repairing over replacement wherever possible.

Should any of our customers have queries regarding their claims and repairs, they are welcome to contact us via telephone 01264 361516 or email enquiries@bprolls.co.uk
