BP Rolls Newport Welcomes Andy Roberts

BP Rolls welcomes Andy Roberts to the new position of General Manager at our Newport site. Reporting directly to Director, Paul Thomas, Andy will be responsible for monitoring staff and overall performances; optimising productivity and efficiency; controlling the workflow through our bodyshop and light commercial service centre, and overseeing quality control for the technicians’ work as we strive to complete each project to an excellent standard, whilst delivering outstanding customer service.

Having spent the last 27 years at Volvo Truck and Bus, Wales and West, working his way up through the business as an apprentice, mechanic and foreman, before becoming the Manager of their Newport Depot, Andy bring with him a wealth of experience in the repair industry.

Andrew joins the company at an exciting time for BP Rolls Newport, which not only celebrates it’s 20th anniversary this year, but 2021 will also see the opening of their second site in the Nash Mead industrial estate, which will specialise in light commercial body repairs and fleet servicing, where he is in charge of the refurbishment. He says of his new challenge:

“I’m looking forward to seeing the new site through the renovations to opening later this year. It’s exciting to be part of something new from the beginning, building this new part of the business from the ground up, developing a new team After 27 year at Volvo, it was time for a change, I needed a new challenge, and this new role is just what I was looking for. I hope to bring experience, efficiency, accuracy, structure and processes to the business.”
