BP Rolls Group to open NEW body shop and service centre in Hull.

Date: 30th September 2020

BP Rolls Group announce plans for expansion with the addition of a brand new facility, set to open in Kingston upon Hull, later this year. The 7756 sq ft development, located in the city centre, close to the docks and conveniently located alongside the A63, is currently undergoing an extensive refurbishment to house a bodyshop, LCV service centre and vehicle graphics studio.

The new premises will be the company’s third site, adding to the existing headquarters in Andover, Hampshire, and their commercial depot in Newport, Wales.

Heading up the project is Site Manager, Rob Davis, who has been with the company for 7 years, managing the BP Rolls in-house graphics fitting teams at Paneltex and Solomon Commercials in both Rossendale and Darwen. Rob has been tasked with getting the Hull workshop ready for action, overseeing the refurbishment and recruiting the new team.

Managing Director David Rolls, comments on the new development:

We set up an in-house graphics fitting bay at Paneltex in 2013 with a 2 man team and now there are 6, so we have outgrown that space. As we began the search for a suitable premises, it became clear that the obvious next step would be to expand the development to incorporate a bodyshop and light commercial service centre all under one roof, enabling us to extend the light commercial fleet maintenance offering we have established in the South, to our customers in the North.”

BP Rolls Group was established in 1966, and from humble beginnings in the garden workshop of founder, Brian Rolls, has grown to the multi-site, multi-million pound operation it is today, with 120 staff and a client list that reads as the who’s who of haulage, retail and home shopping.

Already established as one of the largest privately owned body repair businesses in the UK, BP Rolls Group launched their vehicle servicing division, BP Rolls Automotive, in 2016 and in just 4 years it has evolved to become a specialist LCV service centre, with a combination of workshop and a team of mobile technicians supporting the fleets of supermarkets, courier companies and tradesman alike, across Hampshire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Berkshire and West Sussex. Meanwhile BP Rolls Newport have followed suit serving the South Wales, Bristol and West Country regions.
