In order to meet increasing demand, we are looking for skilled Vehicle Painters to join our commercial team working the late shift (2pm-10pm) at our site in Newport, Wales. You must be NVQ qualified or equivalent, with at least 3 years experience, along with demonstrable skills and know-how.

If you are a skilled vehicle sprayer with an impressive portfolio of work , this could be the next step in your career. We have a constant flow of vehicles going through our workshop so the ideal candidate must be able to work quickly and effectively to hit targets, but most importantly, be able to produce work to an excellent standard.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Final prep before paint, masking, and mixing paint
  • To paint and finish vehicles ensuring that all stages are completed to the highest standard and with in the allocated time
  • To manage own workload efficiently.
  • To follow health and safety guidelines at all times, wearing appropriate PPE etc.

Person Specification

  • It is essential that you have at least 3 years of experience working as a Paint Sprayer
  • You will need to have served either a recognised apprenticeship and gained a technical qualification
  • ATA, NVQ 3 or IMI 3 qualifications would be a distinct advantage.
  • You must be a strong team player but have the confidence to work on your own initiative too.
  • You will work to a high standard and demonstrate a sound, up-to-date technical knowledge.
  • You must be able to cover all areas of the painting process, refinishing vehicles to manufacturer specifications, using specialists paints.

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary is dependent on experience, with a very generous bonus structure creating competitive on-target earnings.
  • This is a permanent late shift role, with standard working hours Monday to Friday 2pm-10pm
  • Occasional Saturdays are not mandatory at present however they might be required in the future subject to business demand so you will need to have a flexible approach to this.
  • Overtime subject to availability paid at a standard rate.
  • 20 days annual holiday plus bank holidays.
