HGV Mechanical Technician - Andover

We are looking for a Level 3 qualified HGV Mechanical Technician with at least 5 years experience to join our commercial accident repair workshop in Andover.

Are you a confident and skilled HGV mechanic looking for a change of scene? We are looking for an experienced technician with a strong background in HGV to join our commercial accident repair team.

The Role

  • Working with HGV and LCV vehicles in our accident repair workshop.
  • Undertaking diagnostic activities to identify causes and solutions for vehicle issues
  • Liaise directly with our estimators and customer advisors, helping to provide outstanding customer service
  • Ensuring vehicles are mechanically repaired in line with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Working in a manner observing all relevant H&S regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to ensure product and service knowledge is up to date

About You

  • You will be a Level 3 qualified HGV mechanical technician
  • A full UK driving licence
  • At least 5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
  • Team orientated, but with the ability to work autonomously
  • Outstanding organisation and time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines

What’s on offer

  • Basic salary is £30-35k dependent on experience, with a very generous bonus structure creating competitive on-target earnings.
  • The standard working hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am-5.30pm
  • Occasional Saturdays are not mandatory at present however they might be required in the future subject to business demand so you will need to have a flexible approach to this.
  • Overtime subject to availability paid at the standard rate.
  • 20 days annual holiday plus the bank holidays.
