Company History
1966 - BP Rolls founded by husband and wife Brian and Sanchia Rolls.
1981 - Construction of a purpose built 25,000 sq ft commercial vehicle paint shop on West Portway Industrial Estate. This facility became one of the first paint shops in the UK to install low bake ovens.
1987 - Adjacent building acquired to house our Truck and Trailer accident repair workshops. As before, this building was fitted out with state of the art repair equipment to ensure our position as industry leaders.
1995 - Following our successes in the commercial vehicle sector, we created our first car repair division. Having investigated the factors for success in car repair, we identified the best way to compete in the marketplace was to operate on a size large enough to enjoy the economies of scale. Therefore, we created a site with the capacity to repair 60 vehicles per week.
1997 - Our Andover car repair division had proved so successful , that an additional centre in Southampton was created, again with the capacity to repair up to 60 vehicles per week.
1998 – Due to our ever increasing workload within the commercial vehicle sector, our Truck and Trailer division separated with the acquisition of a fourth building on West Portway Industrial Estate. This building was purpose built to house our Truck and Van repair centre.
1999 – BP Rolls Signs and Graphics Ltd were created so that we could offer a complete in-house service from start to finish. Equipped with facilities to offer digital screen printing and vinyl graphics the company soon established its own reputation as an industry leader in vehicle livery design, and production.
2001 – An additional commercial vehicle repair site was created at Newport, South Wales. This has widened our national coverage, and allows us to continue to provide outstanding service to our customers, wherever and whenever it is required.
2006 – The expansion of our car repair sector continues with the construction of an additional car repair centre at Fareham, Hants.
2008 - BP Rolls Group acquires strategic stake in Simons of Calne, the Calne based car accident repair specialist.
2008 - Entire share capital of Simons of Calne purchased, rebrands BP Rolls (Calne) Ltd
2009 - Trading assets and bodyshop staff of Titcombe Garage acquired by BP Rolls (Calne) Ltd, trading at Calne site moved to Swindon site creating largest car repair centre in the BP Rolls Group.
